Privacy Policy

The Short Version

This policy explains what little data we do handle, and how we handle it.

1. What AumaTron Does Not Collect

AumaTron is a local-first application. The following data never leaves your machine:

• Your conversations and chat history
• Saved site credentials and passwords
• Browser automation sessions and recordings
• Files, documents, and OCR results
• Email content (AumaMail)
• Scheduled task configurations and logs
• AI provider API keys
• Voice recordings and transcriptions

All of this data is stored locally in an encrypted SQLite database on your device, protected by AES-256-GCM encryption.

2. Data We Do Process

License Verification

If you use a paid plan (Pro or Ultra), AumaTron periodically contacts our license server to verify your license key is valid. This transmits:

• Your license key
• A hardware fingerprint (a one-way hash used to prevent key sharing)

No personal data, usage data, or conversation content is transmitted. If the license server is unreachable, AumaTron continues working with a 72-hour offline grace period.

Waitlist Signups

If you join our waitlist via the website, we collect your email address and selected plan interest. This is stored securely and used solely to notify you when AumaTron launches. We do not share this with third parties.

Cloud AI Providers

If you choose to use cloud AI providers (OpenAI, Claude, Deepseek, or custom providers), your chat messages are sent to those providers' APIs. This is a direct connection between your machine and the provider — AumaTron does not proxy, log, or store these requests on our servers.

Each provider has their own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing them:

You can avoid all cloud data transmission by using Local AI (llama.cpp, Ollama, LM Studio).

Telegram and LINE

If you connect Telegram or LINE bots, messages are routed through those platforms' APIs. AumaTron processes these messages locally on your machine. We do not have access to your bot tokens or message content.

3. Data Storage and Encryption

All sensitive data stored by AumaTron is encrypted using AES-256-GCM, the same standard used by banks and governments. This includes:

• Saved site credentials and passwords
• API keys for AI providers and custom tools
• Email account credentials (IMAP/SMTP)
• FTP credentials
• Bot tokens (Telegram, LINE)

Your encryption key is stored in your local .env file and never transmitted anywhere.

4. Cookies and Tracking

The AumaTron application does not use cookies or tracking scripts. We do not use analytics services, advertising pixels, or fingerprinting on the application itself.

The AumaTron website (aumatron.com) uses no third-party analytics or tracking cookies.

5. Third-Party Services

AumaTron integrates with third-party services only when you explicitly configure them. We never send data to services you haven't connected. Third-party integrations include:

• AI providers — OpenAI, Anthropic, Deepseek, or custom endpoints you configure
• Messaging — Telegram, LINE (only if you set up a bot)
• Email — Your IMAP/SMTP servers (only if you add email accounts)
• Speech — Whisper, ElevenLabs, Fish Audio (only if configured)
• Payments — Stripe (only for license purchases, handled on our server)

6. Data Retention

Since your data lives on your machine, you have full control over retention. You can delete conversations, credentials, tasks, and all other data at any time through the application or by deleting the database file.

Waitlist email addresses are retained until launch notification is sent, after which they are deleted unless you create an account.

7. Children's Privacy

AumaTron is not intended for use by children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. For significant changes, we will notify users through our Discord community and email (for waitlist subscribers).
